Natural paints and clear coatings are derived from plants, animal protein, minerals, non-toxic oils, and even bugs.  They can be purchased from a number of companies offering milk-based, clay-based, and plant-based paints.  Natural paints can also be made at home using all non-toxic ingredients.  Natural paints create rich, beautiful finishes with a depth that is difficult if impossible to achieve with standard latex paints.  Pigments come in a full range of color, from muted earth tones to saturated vibrant colors.
